My love for music started when I was in the 4th grade. I wanted to be drummer. I had one of them wooden practice pads and a pair of sticks, after pounding more on my brother than the pad my drumming dreams were shattered. My next big dream was to play piano, after hearing "Oh What a night" I was on a mission.. We had a little old lady that lived at the end of our block,"Tiny Baker" she was famous back in the day. So, I knocked on her door and asked if she could teach me to play that song...she tried to get my mom to buy a piano so I could practice...But, that wasn't going to happen..so, again my dreams of playing piano were shattered... Around the same time My Uncle had left a guitar at the house.. one of them Ted Nugent looking things.... I think it started out with 3 strings but ended up with one...The E string..After mastering Smoke on the Water, Train Kept a rollin, Iron man. All on that one string, it was on!! played many a one man band gigs in the front room..Then one day while tuning...that string burst.....once again my dreams of playing guitar shattered.... after a brief hiatus from the music business my mom bought me a Sears special acoustic guitar....Smoke on the water and the other classics never sounded so good playing it on 2 strings...I think the first song I learned with 3 strings was "Play that funky music white boy" after about 2 years of playing them 4 songs..Well, just that main lick anyway...over and over and over again..I had had enough decided to give it a rest... actually, I got thrown outta school and had to go live with my Dad....He didn't want to hear that crap in his house...

Fast Fwd to 1978 VAN HALEN is all the rage...Came back to live with my Mom...Me and my cousin both.. While I was gone My Brother had taken up the Drums....one day while playing in the park my mom drives up and she had bought us a guitar and bass... Since I had tried to play everything else I decided to give the bass a try.. there were only 4 strings how hard could that be?...First thing we did was paint the guitar to look like Eddies.. My cousin actually had the Eddie Hair back then and kinda looked like him... But, his playing wasn't even close.. In fact to this day I haven't heard anyone play like my cousin.. Not sure how you play songs backwards, it was odd....lol.. He no longer plays guitar by the way... Our first band was Shattered....and like our dreams, that didn't last long..don't think we ever played one song together.. We didn't know any.. With the bass not working out so well. I decided to give singing a chance...My brother, myself and Ken Powell formed....Uh.. don't know that we ever had a name...but, we did write a local favorite "Gentry Park" set to the music of Train Kept a Rollin.. in fact every song we played had that same music but the lyrics were different. At the time Ken had a broken arm and played the guitar with his cast..it was a crazy sound but it was cool... that band last until the cast came off and he could no longer recreate that sound he had.... throughout the following years, I played bass for Warlord, Combat and various side projects in the garage....Wrote a couple songs "Warlord" and another that came to be known as "Time to Go" covered by a local band my brother was in Wager. By 1985 those garage band days were over.. time to get a real job..well, not for me but for the other players...

fast fwd..2002 one day not sure how it came about but I was asked by Randy to come by the his place...Pre-FCW days.. and Jam... figured what the heck we could play Train kept a rollin all day.. like old times... got there plugged in.. and didn't take long to realize.. I did not know how to play one song all the way through.. only knew bits and pieces....it was rough.. for some reason we had recorded the jam session. Upon play back I said....Damn, that sounds like shit!!!....And the rest is History...SONE COMO CACA was born.....Not much has changed. But, I can play a few songs all the way through now.....
